Cardiovascular Surgery Observership/Fellowship Program

Purpose and Content of the Program:

- Cardiovascular Surgery Observership/Fellowship Program is suitable for all doctors interested in this field. The aim of this program is to advance participants' ability to diagnose, treat and prevent diseases in the field of cardiovascular surgery.

- The program includes inpatient and outpatient rotations as well as practical studies and theoretical training.

- Fellows will have the opportunity to work directly with physicians in sub-specialty clinics and multidisciplinary university hospitals.

- Cardiovascular  surgery training content includes;

• Theoretical lessons for anatomy, physiology, diseases, surgical procedures
• General management of cardiac surgery    
• Cardiopulmonary bypass/myocardial protection/circulatory support
• Ischemic heart disease
• Heart valve disease
• Great vessel disease 
• Cardiac conduction system disorders
• Diseases of the pericardium and myocardium
• Heart failure and cardiac transplantation
• Cardio-thoracic trauma
