- Interventional Cardiology Training Program is suitable for all healthcare professionals interested in this field. The aim of the program is provide in-depth coverage of ultrasound applications in interventional cardiology.
- Interventional cardiology training content includes;
- Analyzing operator risks from invasive angiography and intervention and employ risk mitigation strategies
- Techniques for coronary interventions, including atherectomy; chronic total occlusions; bypass graft intervention; and per-cutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) , bifurcations, and multi-vessel disease.
- Describing optimal techniques for performing coronary intervention, including anti-thrombin and anti-platelet agents.
- Developing nonclinical competencies necessary for catheter lab leadership, including managing team dynamics and finances and fostering a culture of safety through effective communication and reporting.
- Discussing the clinical indications and procedural techniques for performing left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO), atrial septal defect (ASD), and patent foramen ovale (PFO) closures; para-valvular leak closures; trans-catheter mitral valve replacements (TMVRs); and trans-catheter aortic valve replacements (TAVRs).
- Evaluating clinical guidelines, appropriate use criteria, devices, access techniques, and therapies for the treatment of cardiovascular disease to improve the early and late clinical outcomes after coronary/peripheral/structural heart disease interventions.
